Economics is a hard subject, and I know some of you may be struggling to understand what on earth I'm going on about in lectures - especially if you've not studied it before, or in much detail.

DON'T be embarassed - however dumb you feel, there are many (many) others feeling dumber.

DO something about it - don't leave it until February to seek help.

The following things may be useful (a) work harder (I'm not being glib here - if you're not putting in atleast 6 or 7 hours a week of proper self-study in EC1101 then it should be no surprise if you don't keep up. The course proceed at a rate that assumes you are putting in that sort of commitment); (b) sign up for Tutorials (noticeboard in Horton lobby); (c) raise specific queries about bits you don't understand with your Seminar leader (Maaz and Danial are both experienced EC1101 tutors and know what they're talking about); (d) come and see me during office hours (Horton 311 - Mondays 9 to 10 and 12 to 1).

If none of this works then at some point I guess I may have to shoot you.
